I chose those colors deliberately, your favorite shades of blue and green. Could have sworn I counted each row so carefully, but I missed so much that was in front of me. I pictured something bigger, grander, more perfect. I'd hoped for something more. It's amazing how quickly, it's amazing how quickly it comes unraveled. Afraid of something I can't name. This all got twisted along the way. You're wearing it like it causes you pain. Now I'm left wondering who was to blame. No one likes to be critiqued, but I needed you to just say something. I pictured something better. I can't believe I was so blind. I'd hoped for something more. It's amazing how quickly, it's amazing how suddenly and painfully, at the tug of a string it all comes unraveled.
